Have you ever been knocked out of a story’s flow due to a current event-style reference? This was a concern when writing my first science fiction novel.
What’s the benefit of reading fantasy/science fiction over watching it? Does the movie of your favorite series add or detract from your love of the story?
A lot of people, maybe even most, believe they have at least one novel in them—one story they’d like to tell. In truth, many of them actually do.
It is said: “Write what you know.” How do you write a cruel villain if you’ve never acted in such a manner? That’s where RPG experience can be a benefit!
